(NOTE: we have no internet at the apartment so this is a post from Sunday night that I couldn't get up (I'm stealing a weak signal from the balcony so hopefully this posts)- also Vincent has had a very busy few days at work (and he might even do some driving today - so check back to see if he has some fun updates from the track!))
After a day stuck inside we all started to get a bad case of cabin fever, so the need to get some errands done came in very handy. The main task was to get a key cut for the main door, that way I wouldn't have to wait around for the boys to get home from work - nor would they have to worry about my new found nap time which has already left them outside once before. Because of our need to get out, we decided to walk to the downtown area (where Vincent and I had found key cutters on our first adventure), however walking from the opposite direction we missed the initial road we were to take. While deciding what to do, Pete had one of the most brilliant ideas - STARBUCKS!!! We had passed it several times before on our way to dinner, however I was a little afraid to attempt to order on my own. Once we got in, I felt like I had found a little piece of western heaven. Not only did they have my usual (a carmel machymak (just for you Carolynn)) but they also had a lavish variety of desserts, from double chocolate brownies to new york cheese cake.
After taking our time to enjoy a little western flavor we set off to get a key cut. Tasks like this it is a good thing that Pete was with us, his little bit of Mandarin helps a tremendous amount. For only $5 (equivalent to pennies on our currency). Once again we opted out of the taxi ride home so we could get a little extra exercise, and stay out of the apartment just a little while longer. We stopped at the grocery store and headed home.
Once home we relaxed to a few movies before turning in for the night.
